Scoring system

The Czech Republic together with other countries implementing an active migration policy, selects persons interested in immigration to the Czech Republic on the basis of score evaluation.

The government of the Czech Republic regularly announces binding criteria of score evaluation according to their relevance for the selection of the most suitable foreign experts, and for their successful integration into the Czech society.

There are many factors relevant to the successful integration into society. Those factors are taken into consideration in the criteria of the selection procedure.

You will be assessed according to the following criteria in the project:
  • age,
  • employment in the Czech Republic,
  • previous professional experience,
  • achieved education,
  • experience with the life in Czech Republic,
  • language skills,
  • your family will also be considered.

On the basis of facts recorded on your application and certified by plausible documents, a specialised computer programme will allot you a certain number of points; thus, points are assigned on the basis of objective facts. Human factor does not affect the whole procedure, with the exception of entering data from the application form into the computer database programme. Criteria and their scoring are listed in the following table.

It will be necessary for you to obtain a certain minimum number of points in certain criteria (employment in the CR, professional experience, education); otherwise, you cannot be included in the project.

In order to get the chance to be selected within the framework of the project, you must obtain at least 25 out of the maximum of 66 points. If you do not obtain 25 points, though, you will not be deleted from the computer database of persons interested in entering the project., You may broaden your education or improve your language skills later: thus you will get a few more points, and the necessary minimum score of 25 points will be reached.
