EMPLOYMENT OF FOREIGNERS
If an employer has a vacancy, which cannot be occupied by a citizen of the Czech Republic, other EU/EEC state or Switzerland, nor a family member of such citizen or a person having permanent residence in the Czech Republic, he may occupy it with a foreigner from a third country.
As of 1.1.2009, in connection with the amendment to the Employment Act No 382/2008 Coll., the condition of the duty of the employer to ask for permission to employ foreigners was cancelled.

Procedure to be followed by employers when hiring employees from abroad
The employer may also use a special internet program on www.praceprocizince.cz in the internet portal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs where he can browse through adverts of the foreign job seekers, or may register and place an offer of vacancies for foreigners there.
Documents to be printed:

Declaration by the employer stating that he shall employ a foreigner
- The employer shall give this declaration to the foreigner as an annex to his application for the work permit. -
Employer’s announcement of the fact that the employee did not start working or terminated employment in the CR before expiration of the work permit
- The employer shall give this declaration to the Labour Office -
Information that the employee who does not need a work permition did not start working
- The employer shall give this declaration to the Labour Office
